Overview

This program for nonprofit consultants is designed to better meet the ongoing need for governance training among nonprofit organizations.

We are excited to announce that our pilot in-person CNBC will be taking place in Chicago at the Ronald McDonald House Charities Global offices located in McDonald’s Corporate headquarters on the following dates: 

  • Tuesday, October 3rd, 11 AM – 4 PM CST 
  • Wednesday, October 4th, 9 AM – 4 PM CST 
  • Thursday, October 5th, 9 AM – 4 PM CST 

Registration will include the 3-day training, breakfast on the second and third day, and lunch all three days. Participants are responsible for booking their own transportation, hotel accommodations, and other meals.

This intense course is designed for nonprofit consulting professionals and for those currently pursuing a career in consulting. Due to the high-level nature of this certification course, participants should have a working knowledge of the basic tenets of nonprofit governance. 

The course features core curricula that will give nonprofit consultants the tools needed to address important and sometimes tough conversations that happen in the boardroom. The course facilitator and participants will discuss techniques that BoardSource has found most effective in working with boards while weaving in high-level nonprofit governance concepts,  a new focus on Purpose-Driven Board Leadership case studies, group work, and current nonprofit trends for a robust and fast-paced three days.

Upon successfully completing this course, participants will receive a digital certificate of completion they can add to their social media, an Individual BoardSource membership, and additional publications that can be accessed after logging into the My Account section of the website.
