BoardSource’s policy is to treat all information provided by survey participants, including all survey responses and all personal identifying information, as private and confidential.

All information collected by BoardSource shall be used for purposes of conducting the survey and the preparation of reports and resources related to the findings. In addition, information collected from the survey may be contributed to a BoardSource database that is designed to support research about nonprofit board practices; such information shall not contain any individual identifying information.

All individual answers provided as part of the survey are confidential. The summary reports will contain only aggregate results; answers to open-ended questions will appear as entered, grouped with comments from other participants, but not correlated to or identified with any specific individual(s).

BoardSource has implemented appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. Our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary and only authorized individuals have access to the information provided by survey participants.
