About Dennis


Dennis Johnson, MBA, CGT, PCC, ORSC, CTT, CDWF, brings more than twenty-five years of experience in the academic, corporate, government, nonprofit, and philanthropic sectors to his coaching and consulting work. He has strong skills in organizational development, planning, and facilitation with in-depth experience in engagement, governance, leadership development, individual and organizational learning, project management, strategy, and strengths-based, talent systems.

Dennis is Managing Partner of Sort Sol Group. Sort Sol Group focuses on strengthening client impact in practice areas such as business modeling, collaboration, facilitation, governance, leadership, organizational effectiveness, strategy, and team development. We support projects tackling issues of all types and sizes. Our ideas, conversations, tools, and processes result in more effective leaders, organizations, and initiatives driving greater community impact. Together, we lead changemakers to be a collective force for social justice.

Dennis is a member of Association of Change Management Professionals, Association of Consultants to Nonprofits, BoardSource, Conscious Capital Chicago, CORE, International Coaching Federation, LGBT Chamber of Commerce of Illinois, Social Enterprise Alliance, and the Social Transformation Project. He holds his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska’s Gallup Leadership Institute and received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin.
