About Bill


Bill possesses an uncommon blend of experience in health care and expertise in strategy, compliance and board development. He specializes in working with chief executives and boards of directors to achieve new levels of effectiveness in the governance of hospice organizations. Bill writes and presents nationally. He is certified by BoardSource, and is a contributing author to YOU and Your Nonprofit Board: Advice and Tips from the Field’s Top Practitioners, Researchers, and Provocateurs.
Bill founded the Hospice Governance Academy©, an on-line learning platform to support hospice chief executives and board members aspiring to achieve high-impact governance. He is a licensed consultant with the Standards for Excellence Institute, an organization supporting ethics, accountability and best practices among community benefit organizations, and is certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC).

He has served on the boards of St. Luke’s Hospital, Sutter VNA & Hospice Foundation, and the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. He currently serves on the Governance and Nominating Committee of the National Association for Home Care and Hospice, and the Advisory Board of the Home Care and Hospice Financial Managers Association. Bill consulted for over twenty years with Corridor on projects related to strategy, compliance, due diligence and market analysis for community-based care.
