Founder and CEO, Beyond Advisers
Scott M. Curran is a social impact lawyer, corporate attorney, and entrepreneur whose work has shaped major philanthropic, corporate, and cross-sector initiatives over the past two decades. He is the founder and CEO of Beyond Advisers, a consulting firm that helps leaders and institutions design, build, and scale meaningful impact across philanthropy, business, and public service.
Scott previously served as General Counsel of the Clinton Foundation, advising programs operating in more than forty countries across global health, climate, education, disaster relief, and social enterprise.
He teaches a pioneering law school course in social impact law—recognized by Crain’s Chicago Business as one of the “coolest courses” for law students—and holds the nation’s first Master of Public Service degree from the Clinton School of Public Service.
Through Beyond Advisers, he has supported organizations and leaders including the Marguerite Casey Foundation, UN Foundation’s Clean Cooking Alliance, Starbucks Foundation, Emerson Collective, MIT Media Lab, CORE, the Clinton Global Initiative, Tent Partnership for Refugees, and numerous family offices and social enterprises.
He serves on the board or in advisory roles to several nonprofits, including the Walt Disney Birthplace and the U.S. Soccer Foundation. He and his family support causes spanning education, the arts, and animal rescue. He is the host of the Better Good Podcast and the author of the Do (More) Good (Better) Newsletter. His debut book, Better Good, will be published by Simon & Schuster’s Simon Acumen imprint in 2026.
