About Amelia


Professor Jordan-Antongiorgi is a Corporate Governance Consultant and Educator that has played an important leadership role for nonprofits in Puerto Rico, including Community Services Block Grants Benefits (CSBG) organizations. Throughout her professional life and with a visionary style, she’s helped organizations move from traditional governance models to (a) strategic and sustainable governance, (b) goal-setting processes, (c) performance evaluations, and (d) ensuring overall accountability.

Born and resides in San Juan, Puerto Rico, fluent in English and Spanish, and welcomes supporting Spanish-speaking leaders throughout the USA. Professional achievements include:

  • Twenty years as Director of the Executive Office of the Board of Trustees of Inter American University of Puerto Rico. 
  • Founding the A Plus Professional Group in 1999.
  • Fifteen years as governance professor at the Puerto Rican Government’s School of Continuing Education.
  • Several years affiliation to Centro de Estudios de Instituciones sin Fines Pecuniarios, in Puerto Rico, transforming corporate governance topics and issues into educational and technical services.

Professor Jordan-Antongiorgi’s educational qualifications include doctoral work in financial management from Penn State University, and an MBA and BA, Summa Cum Laude, from Inter American University. She has Certificates in Corporate Governance Education and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. A GRI Sustainability Professional Certificate in process.
