  • Expectation setting and retreat goals

Reflection, Journaling, and Relaxation: 4:45 p.m. – 6:45 p.m.

  • Opportunity and open time for participants to settle into rooms

Progressive Dinner Discussion: 6:45 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

After-Dinner Drinks and Conversation: 8:30 p.m.

 

Day 2:

Breakfast Discussions: 7:15 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.

The Work (Part 1): CEO as Expert – Better, More Timely Deliberations and Decisions: 8:45 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.

Break: 10:15 a.m. – 10:25 a.m.

The Work (Part 2): CEO as a Leader – Engaging Board Members for Greater Advocacy, Resource Development, and Mission Impact: 10:25 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

  • Discussion on the CEO’s role in supporting and leading board members in their important roles as external ambassadors, fundraisers, and advocates for the organization.

Lunch and Guest Speaker on DI&E: 12:00 p.m. – 1:15 p.m.

  • Guest speaker: Julia Wilson, CEO, One Justice Topic: What it means to lead a board through your organization’s diversity, inclusion, and equity journey
